“Dodo”, le conte de fées à la fois sombre et coloré de Panos H. Koutras, a été sélectionné officiellement à Cannes 2022, et s’agit également de ma deuxième collaboration avec l’étonnante Olympia Mytilinaiou. Nous avons étalonné le film en utilisant ACES, ce qui nous a donné une grande flexibilité pour différents formats de diffusion. Le film comporte plus de 110 plans VFX impliquant un oiseau dodo créé et animé par Digital District (Paris) , dont certains comportent plusieurs couches nécessitant un traitement couleur séparé. Tous les effets visuels ont été rassemblés dans DaVinci Resolve, ce qui m’a rappelé mon travail d’artiste de smoke et flame ! Voici quelques images qui montrent l’aspect de base et la couleur finale.

Panos H. Koutras’s dark yet colorful fairytale “Dodo” was an Official Selection at Cannes 2022, and also my second feature collaboration with the amazing Olympia Mytilinaiou. We did the color using ACES which gave us a lot of flexibility for several different delivery formats. The film had over 110 VFX shots involving a dodo bird created and animated by Digital District (Paris) some of which involved several layers that needed separate color treatment. All of the VFX were brought together in DaVinci Resolve, which took me back to my work as a smoke & flame artist! Here are some images that show the base look and the final color.
